Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as a American performer and rapper, releasing sly tracks that tackled issues such as racial and sexuality with a humorous twist. In the years before she stepped into Hollywood her career, she was able to make a few songs. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came in the form of trumpet. Following her Jazz and classical training She delved into hip-hop when she was an teen. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism, and women's studies at college, even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. Not until after graduation did she start focusing on music. Her track My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a viral hit across the Internet and later appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$1. The single that debuted was is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. She decided to pursue acting careers following the completion of her previous two ventures as a musician and author. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered a series of notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
